Our mini-grant awards are called Learning Enhancement Grants and that quite clearly conveys their purpose.
SOME EXAMPLES
• Students at Parsons Elementary School learned from a hands-on Mobile Science Lab program funded by a mini-grant.
• The foundation has provided mini-grants for such programs as an evening class called Advanced Placement Calculus, and An Exploration of Accelerated, Kinetic and Harmonic Motion at Easthampton High School. They allowed some of our best and brightest students to explore beyond what can be accomplished in the traditional classroom...see comments from a student participant below
• A mini-grant entitled Study of an Ancient Civilization Through the Internet has been funded for White Brook Middle School. It included real time dialog with scientists and historians at an archaeological dig...see comments from a student participant below

Abby D’Ambrosia EHS Class of 2003

“I was age eleven, and it made me realize the importance of learning from the diverse world around us.”

Abby took advantage of early high school graduation and began attending college classes a semester early.
